Those paying attention to this blog lately will have noted that the Ancient World Open Bibliographies Wiki is up and running – this is what they call a soft rollout, I guess. Those paying LOTS of attention will have noted that the Wiki has an ugly little sunflower graphic at the top left that says “insert your logo here.” So I’ve been thinking about logos. Here are two, one made by me to match the header here, using my mad Photoshop skillz (honed in 1996, when Photoshop was a heck of a lot simpler), and one made by a colleague who is actually a decent graphic artist, and went with a more iconographic choice. Have a preference? Vote in comments. (Please do not use the comments to critique my Photoshop skillz. Be kind.)

I prefer the logo with the books rather than the abstract thing.
Being a bibliophile, I prefer the books! But, I’m really old school : )

Actually, I like your “homemade” logo best. The image has a legible connection to the subject and, being a bit of a traditionalist, I like that.
